If you track the local golf scene, chances are you know all about King standout Kelsey Gibson. She has been among the best in the area -- and state -- for the past few years.

On Tuesday, the senior qualified for state by shooting an even-par 71 in the 2A-4 region tournament at Heritage Springs (Trinity), which was good for second place.

On Thursday, she will make an official visit to UCF, King coach Barrett Zebos said.

Gibson already has visited Mercer in Macon, Ga., and might visit Miami next month.
