Land O'Lakes senior tight end Kent Taylor will announce his college commitment on Oct. 27 at his high school, Taylor confirmed Thursday night after his team's 48-28 win over Mitchell.

Taylor has dozens of scholarship offers and has strongly considered Florida, Florida State, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia and LSU.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound senior is regarded by Rivals and others as the country's top tight end prospect. He's scheduled to be honored by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on the 27th and will make his college announcement that day.

Taylor broke his hand early in the season but has caught touchdown passes in each of his last two games and did not wear a cast or other protection Thursday night.

He had a 54-yard TD catch against the Mustangs and finished the game with four receptions for 84 yards.
