Land O’Lakes tight end Kent Taylor said he enjoyed last week’s recruiting trip to three SEC powers, but he’s still not ready to commit to one of his dozens of scholarship offers.

Last week, the 6-foot-5 senior who’s considered the country’s top tight end visited LSU, Alabama and Georgia – “three good programs” who all use tight ends, Taylor said.

“It was good,” Taylor said during a break between Monday’s first day of practices. “Long, but it was good.”

Taylor has said that Florida, LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Penn State were among the top schools he’s considering. Taylor said Monday that he still hasn’t decided on a final list of his favorites but plans to whittle that down Wednesday.

Taylor caught 36 passes for 626 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior year for the Gators.
