The most prolific spring -- scholarship-wise -- that veteran Robinson coach Mike DePue can remember continues with multi-position star Frankie Williams and receiver Ruben Gonzalez now up to eight offers each.

Middle Tennessee and Division I-AA power Youngstown State are the latest to offer Williams, DePue said. Gonzalez's suitors now include New Mexico, Georgia Southern, Toledo and Western Kentucky.

Collectively, six Knights have received offers this month, the most DePue can remember for one spring in his 30-year association with the program. The offers are nearly certain to increase after Friday, when the Knights host a four-team jamboree starting at 6:30 p.m.

"Shoot, I've never seen anything like it," DePue said.
