Robinson senior lineman Quinton Preston, a four-year starter at various spots on the Knights' offensive and defensive fronts, has signed with Division II Assumption College in Worcester, Mass.

Knights coach Mike DePue confirmed Preston (6-foot-1, 240 pounds) signed Thursday. He becomes the second Robinson defensive lineman to sign this winter, joining D.J. Woods (Illinois).

"They're getting a special kid," DePue said. "That's a great academic school. He's going to thrive up there, I think."

As a senior, Preston registered 57 tackles, two sacks and two fumble recoveries playing on both the defensive edge and interior. He also played offensive tackle out of necessity earlier in his career. He projects as a defensive end at Assumption.
