Don't expect Robinson senior defensive lineman D.J. Woods to sign today; he's holding out for a potentially more lucrative letter of intent.

Woods, who reportedly committed to Division I-AA Savannah State, still could be invited for a late visit to Illinois, Knights coach Mike DePue said this morning. The Illini discovered Woods -- of all places -- online, DePue said.

Illinois' recruiting class was ranked 76th nationally by rivals.com when the day began.

"We're going to find out this afternoon if he's going to fly up there (this weekend)," DePue added.

Woods, an academic qualifier who had 51 tackles last season, has received offers from Savannah State, South Dakota and Division II Gannon University in Erie, Pa.
