A look at Plantation American Heritage, which faces Jesuit in Saturday's Class 5A state title game

American Heritage
Record: 24-6

Coach: Charlie Stephenson

Nickname: Patriots

Common opponents with Jesuit: None

Players to watch: SF Kobe Eubanks, 6-5, Jr. (17.2 ppg, 2.5 assists); C Drake LaMont, 6-10, Jr. (11.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg); SG Justin Massey, 6-4, Jr. (10.2 ppg, 3.4 assists)

The skinny: The Patriots possess nearly everything Jesuit does -- size, length on the perimeter, a soft shooting touch (52.3 percent from the floor) and solid defense. What it lacks is Jesuit's seasoning. The Tigers will start five seniors today, American Heritage will start none. ... LaMont, the most imposing big man Jesuit will have faced, had 12 points and 11 boards in a 19-point semifinal win against Palatka. Massey had 19 points, hitting four of seven 3-pointers. ... Like Jesuit, the Patriots employ a seven-man rotation.

Comment: "They look very, very skilled. They have a lot of guys that can score, and a couple of big guys...so we have our work cut out for us to work around that. I think our defense is going to have to be really sharp as far as covering the perimeter because from what I saw, they really shot the ball well." -- Jesuit coach Neal Goldman
