Lake Wales-Jesuit playoff game sold out

Saturday night's highly anticipated Class 5A boys basketball region finals rematch between Lake Wales (22-7) and Jesuit (28-1) at the Tiger Palace is sold out, Jesuit announced in a release Friday afternoon.

Advance tickets went on sale earlier Friday, and a little more than 1,000 sold in a few hours, athletic director Terry Rupp said. The Tiger Palace has a seating capacity of 1,292.

Tip-off for Saturday's contest is at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 6. Lake Wales trounced Jesuit, 76-35, in last year's 5A region final en route to the state championship. If the Tigers even the score Saturday, they reach the state tournament for the first time since 1985.
