Lakewood shooting guard Tianah Alvarado has orally committed to Seton Hall after taking a visit to the school this past weekend. Teammate Kasey Drayton, a power forward, orally committed to Alabama-Birmingham.

Alvarado missed most of last season due to a knee injury. She recovered to play summer league ball.

"They want me to play shooting guard,'' Alvarado said. "And if I work hard they said I could get a lot of playing time.''

Drayton was a Times' first-team all-county selection last year and led the Spartans to the Class 5A semifinals. She averaged more than 15 points per game.
