Lakewood receiver Rodney Adams (6-1, 170), who committed to Florida in February, said Friday that he is reopening his recruiting upon learning UF receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Aubrey Hill had resigned.
Adams told the Tampa Bay Times that he is still a Gator for now, but will take all five of his official visits.
"I just want to see what's out there," he said. "I want to see how things shape up at Florida and how the receivers do this season. I don't think I'll make my decision for a while."
It didn't take long for colleges to inquire. Adams said Ole Miss offered him Friday, and that Vanderbilt and Florida State, who have already offered him, called.
Adams, one of the top Class of 2013 bay area recruits, initially chose the Gators over USF, Alabama, West Virginia, FSU, Miami and Oklahoma, among others. Adams had more than 700 yard receiving and seven touchdowns as a junior.
Adams also mentioned that he will not be at Lakewood next week for the first fall practices; he and his family are out of town.
