Lakewood point guard Alexis Ungro has committed to Miami Dade College, according to Spartans coach Necole Tunsil.

Ungro transferred to Lakewood from Boca Ciega as a junior and has been a two-year starter for the Spartans. She averaged 11 points and six assists as a senior and helped lead Lakewood to the Class 5A state tournament final. Ungro was also a member of the Pinellas senior all-star team.

Ungro had offers from Chicago State and South Georgia Tech. Miami Dade College competes athletically as a junior college and plays in the Southern Conference.
