Lakewood defensive lineman Dante Fowler still is suspended and will miss this week's district game against Middleton, Spartans coach Cory Moore said.

Fowler, a five-star recruit who already has committed to FSU, played in the season opener against Seminole but has missed the past two games for disciplinary reasons. There is no timetable for his return.

"Nothing's changed regarding Dante's status," Moore said. "It's still business as usual here."

Moore said he has talked to Fowler but has yet to meet with his parents.

"I've talked to the family more in passing in the community and that type of thing," Moore said.

Lakewood has fared well without Fowler, winning its past two games by a combined score of 66-11. The Spartans enter the tough part of their district schedule with games against Gibbs, Robinson and Jesuit within the next month.

Fowler did not reply to a text asking when he will return.
