Lakewood defensive back Jevaris Little said via text message he committed to Illinois after visiting the school this weekend.
Little had already taken trips to Indiana and San Diego State before going to Illinois.
“It was a great visit,” Little said. “I really liked all the players and coaches.”
Little’s recruiting started to pick up after a strong senior season in which he recorded two interceptions and was named a first-team Times all-Pinellas County selection and played in the senior all-star game. He had offers from several schools besides the three he visited, including Ball State, Kansas and Toledo.
Illinois offered in earlier this month and Little added the school to his top three.
