Land O'Lakes lineman John Fiore signs with Birmingham-Southern

John Fiore, a senior lineman for the Land O'Lakes football team, will continue his playing career at Division III Birmingham-Southern College.

At 5-foot-9, 200 pounds, Fiore started at center for the Gators and was a team captain. Behind a stout offensive line, Land O'Lakes threw for more than 2,700 yards and rushed for more than 1,500 yards to go 9-2 and advance to the playoffs.

Birmingham-Southern plays in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Panthers finished the 2010 season with a 6-4 record.
