Land O'Lakes quarterback Stevie Weatherford received a pair of scholarship offers Tuesday from Boston College and Southern Methodist.

Weatherford also has scholarship offers from USF, East Carolina and Iowa State. The rising senior threw for 2,052 yards, 27 touchdowns and just five interceptions last season.

Weatherford’s father, Bill, was a quarterback for the Mustangs and his grandfather, Bill Sr., was a running back.

Weatherford was arrested March 26 on suspicion of burglary and grad theft, both felonies. He is currently serving a mandatory 20-day suspension from sports activities, which could be extended upon further review of his circumstances.

Weatherford is expected to be eligible for spring practice sometime during the first week of May.
