Land O'Lakes quarterback Stevie Weatherford, who orally committed to USF this month, wore a bandage around his right (throwing) hand Tuesday at Pasco County's 7-on-7 league. The wrap covered his wrist, his pinky and ring finger.

Weatherford, who did not participate Tuesday, said he suffered the injury (pointing to the knuckles on his right hand) a week ago playing basketball. He said he is fine and his hand should be healed in the next week or so.

"It's nothing," Land O'Lakes coach Matt Kitchie said.

Weatherford threw for 2,052 yards, 27 touchdowns and five interceptions leading the Gators to a 9-2 finish in 2009. In a 42-0 win against Wiregrass Ranch this spring, a game limited to two quarters, Weatherford was 11-of-17 passes for 351 yards, six touchdowns and one interception.
