Land O'Lakes class of 2012 prospect Kent Taylor has been selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl according to first-year coach Brian Wachtel.

Taylor, a tight end who has seen his recruiting stock soar of late, was a standout performer at the U.S. Army All-American Combine earlier this year and has picked up offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Miami, LSU and Illinois in recent weeks. Taylor is 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and caught 35 passes for 571 yards and nine touchdowns during his junior season.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which features some of the nation's elite high school prospects, is played in San Antonio, Texas. Local gridiron standouts Phillip Ely (Plant), Zach DeBell (Tarpon Springs), Tyler Moore (Countryside) and James Wilder, Jr. (Plant) were selected to the play in the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
