Largo running back Jarvis Stewart will miss spring practice after being reassigned to a secondary school for disciplinary reasons.
Stewart, a sophomore, could return to the Packers by the fall if he is allowed to transfer back to Largo by the start of the new school year.
Packers coach Rick Rodriguez declined to comment on the situation.
Stewart has been one of the county’s top backs the past two seasons. Last year, he was averaging 120 yards a game when he tore a muscle in his hip against Dixie Hollins on Oct. 6. He returned three weeks later only to re-aggravate the injury and miss the rest of the season.
Largo still has plenty of backs to fill the void with Harry Brown and Derrick Doss leading the way.
