Lennard releases coaching applicants

The open head football coach position at Lennard has drawn 23 applicants, including Phil Hayford, who led Shorecrest Prep to 13 playoff appearances in his 33 years at the school before he was forced out this fall, and Jeff Schaum, the current coach at Lakeland Victory Christian, which has made the playoffs in the past three years. The job became available when George Edington resigned Nov. 29 after guiding the Longhorns to a 14-25 in four seasons at Lennard. Here’s the entire list:
