A loss, then larceny: Falcons robbed at Armwood

Leto's football players were robbed of more than their dignity Friday night.

When they returned to the Armwood High locker room after a 68-0 defeat to the nation's No. 2-ranked team, they found their stuff was gone too.

Players reported missing cash, cell phones, iPods and other items, according to Debbie Carter of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

She did not know how many were robbed, as the school resource deputy is still investigating the matter. Eight victims had come forward as of Friday night.

Leto first-year coach Matt Kitchie declined comment Tuesday afternoon.
