Gulf QB/WR/DB Madison Burr is slated to visit Division I-AA Wofford this weekend, and it wouldn’t be a shock if he committed, Bucs coach Jay Fulmer said.

“Wofford has done a great job recruiting him,” Fulmer said. “He’s going to see what it’s like, and he may commit once he gets up there.”

In the meantime, Florida State apparently has taken an interest.

Fulmer said the Seminoles have requested video of Burr and hope to meet him in person, possibly tonight or Friday morning before he leaves for Wofford.

The extent of FSU’s interest won’t be known until after Fulmer meets with ‘Noles assistant Lawrence Dawsey, who recruits the Tampa Bay area.

“They want to look at him,” Fulmer said. “I don’t know what they’re going to do.”

As a senior, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Burr passed for 855 yards, rushed for 749 yards and had 191 receiving yards.
