When Largo lost its starting quarterback a few weeks back, the Packers knew the ground game would have to get them through the regular season.
And thanks to Derrick Doss, the Packers have already wrapped up a playoff berth and district title.
Against Class 4A, District 10 foe Boca Ciega on Friday, Doss was clutch, running for 206 yards on eight carries. He also scored four touchdowns, all 30 yards or longer, in the 28-26 victory. Not bad for a sophomore.
