Alonso speed rusher extraordinaire Anthony Chickillo experienced a blitz of his own during a weekend visit to the University of Florida where, according to Chickillo, Urban Meyer and defensive line coach Dan McCarney were the ones zeroing in on him.

"They said I'm the No. 1 guy they want," Chickillo, the nation's No. 27 defensive end according to Scout.com, said Monday morning. "They called me an elite pass rusher."

Chickillo, who made the visit with a couple of other area players and got about an hour of face time with the coaches, has had a scholarship offer from UF for some time. The other schools currently atop his collegiate wish list: Miami, FSU, USF, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and LSU.

All have offered him.

"I'm really trying to figure it out," Chickillo said. "There are just so many schools and I'm just trying to find the best one for me. I'm trying to focus on the season right now because it's coming up so quick. I'm gonna try and make a decision early in the season."
