During his stellar career at Palm Harbor University, WR Mike McNeely was among the area’s most prolific pass-catchers. Despite that, his recruitment has been relatively slow to take off.

Thus far, he has no offers.

The good news, though, is that plenty of schools are showing interest. That group includes Columbia, Dartmouth, Holy Cross,  Leigh and Penn.

At 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, McNeely doesn’t have great size. But he possesses excellent hands, and is a superb route runner. PHU coach Mark Haye boasted during the preseason that McNeely was “the best fundamental receiver I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Last fall, McNeely caught 33 passes for 442 yards. Against St. Petersburg, which had arguably the county’s best defense, he had seven catches for 134 yards.
