Largo TE/DE Mike Douglas can add one more major program to his list of suitors.

The Tigers, who play in the Big 12 and have been nationally ranked a lot in recent seasons, have offered the 6-foot-4, 225-pound standout a scholarship.

They join schools such as Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Purdue and UCF.

Douglas recently took an official visit, his first, to Kentucky and gave the trip a “7 or 8” on a scale of 1 to 10. He was there when the ‘Cats played Louisville.

“It went really good,” Douglas said. “They showed me around the academic center and all the new equipment. It was really nice.”

Douglas said he likely won’t take any more official visits until Largo’s season is over. He might, however, make an unofficial to UCF next weekend.

Rivals.com rates Douglas as the country’s 50th-best weakside defensive end.
