Joey Ivie, Pasco (6-foot-5, 270 pounds)
The latest: The junior defensive lineman picked up his third SEC offer Wednesday, courtesy of Missouri, Ivie said after practice. Ole Miss also visited him Wednesday, and Tennessee is scheduled to stop by Thursday.
Offers: UMass, Western Kentucky, Iowa State, FIU, Bowling Green, Purdue, Texas Tech, Miami, USF, Mississippi State, Georgia Southern, FSU, UF, West Virginia, Missouri
Last season: Ivie was second on the team with 53 tackles during the regular season. He also had eight sacks and forced two fumbles. He was at his best during the defensive line’s dominant performance against Jesuit in the Class 5A region final.
Bottom line: Ivie was one of Pasco’s most underrated players during its run to the state semifinal but is becoming a household name in recruiting circles. He’s strong and quick off the line and has great potential. Expect him to be one of Tampa Bay’s top linemen this season.
