Mitchell stays on top in North Suncoast volleyball super 7 (with stats)

North Suncoast Super 7
1. Mitchell (13-4):
The Mustangs can’t quite get past Tarpon Springs, which has two five-set victories over Mitchell, but they’ve got the North Suncoast figured out just fine.

2. Fivay (15-3): The Falcons’ past three matches are brutal with games against Ridgewood, Mitchell and River Ridge. But Toni Imbimbo and Fivay should be up for the challenge.

3. Ridgewood (14-2): Amber Starkey’s Rams looked impressive in sweeping Anclote on Tuesday night. They have the talent to avenge last year’s early exit.

4. Springstead (8-3): After a solid showing in the Fivay tournament, the Eagles will try to make a run in Class 6A, District 6.

5. Anclote (9-6): Mia Lockhart has become one of Pasco County’s top talents. She and the Sharks have a chance to show their grit at their tournament next week.

6. Wiregrass Ranch (11-5): The Bulls had their four-match win streak snapped against Mitchell. A loaded junior class means Wiregrass is still building for next year, too.

7. River Ridge (5-5): The Royal Knights can forget about their recent four-match losing streak if they knock off rival Mitchell in Thursday’s rematch.
