Mitchell rising senior Chris Schalles has been selected to participate in the Blue-Grey National Super Football Combine to be held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Schalles plays offensive guard and linebacker for Mitchell and is the Mustangs' long snapper. He was picked for the national combine based on his performance during a regional Blue-Grey combine at Raymond James Stadium in May. The Blue-Grey National Super Football Combine will be held June 18.

The top players at the Canton combine are invited back for a nationally-televised all-star game in January.

Schalles recorded 54 tackles in seven games at linebacker last season for Mitchell. He was a St. Petersburg Times' All-North Suncoast honorable mention pick following his junior year and was named to the All-Sunshine Athletic Conference third team offense as a lineman.
