Mitchell's Kriston to sign with Covenant

Mitchell senior pitcher/outfielder Garrett Kriston will sign with Covenant College next week, said his father, Jim.

The 6-foot-2 Kriston hit .400 last season, and also posted a 6.16 ERA with 35 strikeouts, 19 walks and a 2-3 record.

Kriston is in the medical academy at Mitchell and plans to be a pre-med major in college with the hopes of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
