Mitchell's PJ Dejesus signs with Piedmont

Mitchell baseball standout PJ Dejesus was the Mustangs’ lone college signee today. He signed with Piedmont College, an NCAA Division III school in Georgia.

Dejesus was one of the top players in the North Suncoast last spring as a junior. The 6-foot-1 pitcher posted a 1.35 ERA and a 3-1 record while striking out 12 batters in 20.2 innings.

At the plate, the first baseman batted .290 while scoring 10 runs and knocking three doubles.
