More recognition for Plant football

In February, the Plant football team was recognized by Gov. Rick Scott before his cabinet meeting at the state fair.

Now in March, the Panthers have been recognized by another powerful brand.

Before tonight's spring training game against the Baltimore Orioles, the members of the 2011 Class 8A state champion squad lined around home plate and up the first- and third-base lines and were introduced, just like the members of Class 6A state champion Armwood were before Tuesday night's game. Pictured is what it looked like from the press box and vantage point of the man formerly known as @EddieHomeTeam.

Plant will play Leto in its May 24 spring jamboree game.
