Cross country coach Eric Milholland has jumped from Central to Nature Coast.

Milholland made the move after accepting a teaching position in math.

"It was time for a change," Milholland said on his way to his first team meeting with the Sharks. "There's a lot of potential over there. I'm looking forward to see what we can do."

Milholland took over Central's program in 2004. He also coached at Seminole for six years.

"He applied for cross country and a math position," Nature Coast athletic director Kristen Peeples said. "They had let us know a little while ago he was interested. I had talked to (Central athletic director) Jeff Spivey, so they knew what was going"

Nature Coast's program underwent two coaching changes last season with Armen Merjanian being removed before the season, then Trevor Barlow stepping aside midseason and Peeples stepping in as an interim coach.
