Nature Coast junior center Tyler Bergantino became the first player in Sharks history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
Bergantino had 26 points and 13 rebounds in the Sharks' 63-32 win over Springstead on Tuesday. It was Bergantino's 20th double-double of the season and 18th straight dating back to Dec. 3. The 6-foot-9, Division I-A prospect is averaging 18 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks a game.
For the season, Bergantino has scored 417 points and grabbed 292 rebounds.
The Sharks, winners of 11 straight, improved to 22-1 after beating Springstead.
