Akron, Toledo and UMass all offered the speedster on Friday, Sharks assistant Rob Kazmier said.
Breida was an all-North Suncoast selection last fall after rushing for 20 touchdowns and more than 1,600 yards. That includes one of the top games in county history, a 355-yard outburst against Central.
The 5-foot-10, 168-pound Breida also played defensive back early in the year before shifting his focus to the offensive backfield.
Breida’s offer came in a phone call from Akron assistant Terrell Buckley, a former Florida State star and NFL defensive back.
UMass also offered Hernando pass rusher Darren Hambrick on Friday.
