Standout Dunedin LB Ali Cheaib has picked up an offer from Youngstown State and will make an official visit to the school this weekend, Falcons coach Mark Everett said.
Cheaib, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior, also has scholarship offers from Albany and Delaware State. Both of those programs also play at the Division I-AA level.
Despite being injured much of the season last fall, Cheaib was an honorable mention All-County pick. He was team MVP as a junior for a squad that reached the playoffs.
According to Everett, Youngstown coach Eric Wolford was in Dunedin this week to visit with Cheaib. That’s when the offer was made.
