Last week, the Connecticut Huskies dropped by Palm Harbor University to check out Hurricanes OL Mark Hansson.

Apparently, they liked what they saw.

On Tuesday, UConn offered the 6-foot-6, 260-pounder a scholarship.

In a brief phone conversation Tuesday night, Hansson said he was excited about the news and holds the Huskies in high regard.

Colorado State, Florida International and Indiana all previously offered. Hansson also is seriously considering Harvard. In fact, he will visit the Crimson in December.

He tripped to Colorado State a few weeks ago.
