Tarpon Springs OT Zach DeBell figures to be among the county’s most sought-after recruits next season. Last year, Minnesota became the first Division I-A program to give the 6-foot-7, 260-pound junior a written offer.

Now, Central Florida has followed suit with a verbal offer, according to Tarpon Springs coach George Kotis. DeBell will play left tackle for the spongers in 2010.

“His body is exploding,” Kotis said. “He’s going to get a lot of offers.”
