Academy at the Lakes girls basketball coach Karim Nohra will try to pick up the 400th win of his prep coaching career Tuesday when his Wildcats travel to 3-9 Zephyrhills.

Nohra had hoped to have the milestone already under his belt. The Wildcats were scheduled to host the Academy at the Lakes Invitational on Dec. 28-29 but had to cancel the four-team tournament the day before it started after Gaither bowed out and a replacement couldn’t be secured.

In his first season at the helm at Academy at the Lakes, Nohra has led the Wildcats to an 8-1 record a year after the team lost all 15 games. After a season-opening loss, the Wildcats have won eight straight.

Prior to arriving at Academy at the Lakes, Nohra spent two seasons at Wesley Chapel, where he guided the Wildcats to two straight region final appearances.

AATL plays the Bulldogs at 6 p.m.
