Class 4A boys basketball region semifinal

Who: Nature Coast (26-3) at Ridgewood (25-3)

When: 7 p.m. Tuesday

Cost: $6

At stake: Winner advances to the Class 4A state semifinals to face the winner of Gainesville Eastside-Orlando Oak Ridge.

They’re streaking
Ridgewood puts its 21-game win streak on the line tonight against Nature Coast, which has its own 15-game win streak. Ridgewood last lost Dec. 12, 74-69 to Williston. Nature Coast last lost Jan. 12, 37-32 at Wiregrass Ranch.

Homecourt advantage
Ridgewood hasn’t lost a home game in more than two years, boasting a 14-0 record at home this season and 26-0 the past two seasons. The last home loss? It was 61-57 on Feb. 19 against Brandon in a region semifinal.

Getting over the hump
Ridgewood is a frequent playoff contender, reaching the region semifinals for the fourth consecutive season; this is its fifth straight playoff berth and 10th since 1997. Ridgewood has reached the region finals twice, last going in 2003.
• This marks Nature Coast’s second playoff appearance. The Sharks last went in 2007, losing in the region quarterfinal under former coach Travis Priddy.

Ridgewood leaders
Charles Jones, Sr., F (18.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg). Scored season-high 28 points in Nov. 24 win against Zephyrhills.
Jacob Rauh, Sr., G (12.7 ppg, 4.6 apg). Season-high 24 in a win against Mitchell on Dec. 4.

Nature Coast leaders
Tyler Bergantino, So., F (14.2 ppg,  10.9 rpg, 5.3 bpg). Season-high 28 in a Jan. 21 win against Hudson.
Adam Smith, Sr., F (13.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg). Season-high 23 points in Feb. 1 win against Tarpon Springs.
