Former Pasco standout Josh Johnson continues to put up strong numbers at Purdue. The defensive back had his first interception of the year in the Boilermakers’ 54-16 win over Eastern Michigan.

Johnson ranks fourth in the Big Ten with five passes defended (four breakups, one interception).

Another former Pirate, Trey Dudley-Giles, recorded three tackles, returned one punt and had a fumble in UMass’ 63-13 loss at Michigan. Dudley-Giles was the Times’ co-North Suncoast player of the year last season.

Hernando alum Thomas Bronson had a tackle for Appalachian State in the Mountaineers’ 52-28 loss to The Citadel.
