All games 7 tonight. Admission $6.

Class 5A

Springstead (11-5-2) at Newsome (22-0): The Eagles have a tall task ahead if they wish to advance to the region finals. Newsome, unbeaten and untied, is the No. 5-ranked team in the nation according to ESPN Rise. The Wolves defeated Plant City 8-0 in 45 minutes in the district final. It took Springstead 110 minutes plus penalty kicks to knock off the Raiders 4-3 in the region quarterfinals. No matter what happens tonight, the current Springstead squad can take solace in the fact that it was the first team in school history to win a girls soccer playoff game.

Class 4A

River Ridge (21-3-2) at Wiregrass Ranch (22-2-2): This is the fourth meeting between the teams, and if past matchups are any indication, tonight’s game should be an instant classic. Wiregrass Ranch beat River Ridge on Nov. 12 behind two goals apiece from A.J. Blount and Berlin Waters. Jenny Karl scored four times to lead the Royal Knights to a 6-4 victory Dec. 8 in the regular-season rematch. Wiregrass Ranch scored three times in the first half and held on for a 3-2 win 11 days ago in the district final.
