All games 7:30 p.m. Friday unless noted.

Springstead (0-1) at Nature Coast (1-0)
Despite a 24-3 loss to rival Hernando, the Eagles had some positives, including sustained drives and flashes of strong defense. Quarterback Brian Beeker looked like a solid leader. He ran 13 times for 57 yards, and finished 4-for-9 passing for 60 yards and one touchdown. That said, the Sharks are hoping to feast on another in-county rival. The Sharks have won four straight in the series with Springstead’s last win in 2005, 43-0.
Izzy Gould: Nature Coast 35-7

Plantation American Heritage (1-0) at Pasco (0-0)
The Pirates began their season with a bye week following a 14-3 preseason victory at Hernando. American Heritage is coming off a 26-21 win over Clewiston. The Pirates should be aware of running back Sony Michel, who rushed 22 times for 90 yards and a touchdown. Patriots quarterback Sam Wilensky completed 4-of-7 passes for 61 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Pasco defeated American Heritage 27-22 last year.

Ridgewood (0-1) at Mitchell (1-0)
The Rams face one of the tougher opening schedules, losing last week 49-6 to Land O’Lakes. Rams running back Cameron Rodriguez was a bright spot with 18 carries for 93 yards. But the Rams will need something out of quarterback Scott Kujak, who was 5-for-15 passing for 64 yards and two interceptions. Mitchell has been unstoppable, last week claiming a 41-0 win over River Ridge. Senior Ricky Trinidad ran just seven times, but finished with 142 yards and two touchdowns. Mitchell used eight running backs to combine for 292 yards.
IG: Mitchell 42-6
