Two quick Wednesday recruiting updates from the North Suncoast:

* Pasco DE Morgan Flournory has picked up his first offer, from Black Hills State (S.D.), he said in a text message. Flournory is also receiving interest from Fort Hays State (Kan.) and has been offered a spot as a preferred walk-on at Jacksonville University.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior was one of Tampa Bay’s top pass rushers this fall. He recorded 22.5 sacks while earning defensive player of the year honors from the Sunshine Athletic Conference. He was also the Times’ North Suncoast defensive player of the year.

* Anclote lineman Terry Linton has been offered a spot as a preferred walk-on at Georgia Southern, Sharks coach Matt Wicks said in a text message.

Linton, a 6-foot-3, 320-pound senior, was a two-way standout and first-team all-North Suncoast selection. He helped Anclote to its first ever playoff appearance this fall.

Georgia Southern has been active in the North Suncoast this recruiting season. Hernando ATH Tyrail Hawkins has orally committed there, and Nature Coast RB Matt Breida is strongly considering the FCS powerhouse.
