Two quick recruiting updates from the North Suncoast:

* Anclote OL/DL Terry Linton will visit Georgia Southern this weekend, said Sharks coach Matt Wicks – a Georgia Southern alum.

Linton has received Division I looks but doesn’t hold any offers yet. The 6-foot-3, 320-pound senior is a co-captain for Anclote, which earned its first victory Monday with a 41-7 win over Ridgewood.

Georgia Southern has been active in the North Suncoast, extending offers to Nature Coast RB Matt Breida, Hernando ATH Tyrail Hawkins and Springstead OL Will Allen.

* Zephyrhills WR Jordan Roberts said he’s receiving interest from Florida, Louisville, Navy, Michigan State, UMass and, recently, Iowa State.

“They’re just sending me things, letting me know that they’re interested,” Roberts said.

Roberts, a 6-foot-1 junior, is one of the North Suncoast’s top athletes, although it’s his first year of high school football. He won district titles as a sophomore in the high jump (6 feet, 4 inches) and 100 meters (10.87 seconds).

Roberts, whose older brother, former Bulldogs QB Jamal, signed with Kent State in February, snagged a 38-yard touchdown catch against Gulf last week.
