1. Springstead (4-0): A new coach (Noemi Rivera) hasn’t changed the Eagles’ success. Talent like Bryanna Leonard (25 assists against Central on Tuesday) helps, too.
2. Fivay (3-0): The Falcons haven’t dropped a game since the regular season began, and Toni Imbimbo should be one of Pasco County’s top players.
3. Anclote (2-0): The Sharks won’t surprise anyone this year, after last season’s run to the playoffs. Anclote has already knocked off Wiregrass Ranch and River Ridge this fall.
4. Mitchell (3-1): A close, five-set loss to powerful Tarpon Springs is the Mustangs’ only blemish. No shame in that.
5. Bishop McLaughlin (2-0): The Hurricanes have reloaded and are ready for another strong playoff run this fall.
6. Ridgewood (4-1): The Rams have rebounded after a tough loss to Mitchell in their second match. Keep an eye on Mary Kujak, one of the North Suncoast’s top talents.
7. River Ridge (3-1): Corinne Pieterse and the Royal Knights will compete in a top-heavy Class 6A, District 10.
