Northeast football coach Mike Jalazo has been named the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach of the Week after his team's come-from-behind 41-37 win over Tarpon Springs last Friday. Jalazo said he was informed by the Buccaneers on Monday and will go to One Buc Place on Tuesday to meet coach Greg Schiano and tour the facility.

Jalazo said he will bring three players with him: quarterback Ryan Davis, running back Keith Harrington and likely linebacker Auggie Sanchez, although he hasn't decided yet.  Davis threw for 343 yards and six touchdowns against the Spongers. Harrington had four touchdown catches and 170 yards receiving. Sanchez had an interception. Northeast is 5-0 after winning four games all of last season.

The Bucs will honor ten high school coaches from Central Florida throughout the season. The winner receives a certificate, an embroidered hat and a $1,000 donation to the football program. The Bucs also name an overall Coach of the Year at the end of the season, which comes with another $1,000 donation.
