Northeast catcher Bret Maxwell has committed to Florida State, according to Vikings coach Rob Stanifer. Maxwell, a rising junior, recently participated in FSU's Super Skills Camp before committing to the Seminoles.

As a sophomore, Maxwell hit .359. He was named to the first-team all-PCAC south team. He was also a Times' all-county honorable mention.
