Northside Christian’s Evan Howard has signed with Carleton College in Minnesota to run track and play football.
Two seasons ago, Howard was a conference and district champion in the 100 meters, as well as a state qualifier in the 200. He also was a receiver and kick returner for the Mustangs the past two years.
Howard was homeschooled and took classes at St. Petersburg College. He had a 4.71 GPA, and was a two-time member of the all-city academic football team of the St. Petersburg Exchange Club.
At Carleton, Howard will train under 2004 Olympic gold medalist Andrew Rock
