Sickles two-way star Scott O'Donoghue, a vital cog in the Gryphons' 8-3 season that ended with a Class 4A playoff berth, has committed to Holy Cross, Coach Pat O'Brien said this evening. O'Donoghue, who visited the Worcester, Mass., campus this past weekend, had been told by Crusaders coaches he was the No. 1 linebacker on their board, O'Brien said earlier this month. O'Donoghue (6-foot, 198 pounds) tallied 137 tackles and five sacks as a senior. Holy Cross finished 9-3 last season, reaching the Division I-AA playoffs.
