A few recruiting nuggets from the last week or so:

Some locals starred at the Nike combine in Orlando over the weekend. Those recognized on the all-combine team: Plant City OL Evan Crowell, Nature Coast OL Christian Pellage, Gulf DL Madison Belloise and East Lake LB Carson Lydon.

Ohio State offered a scholarship to Hillsborough QB Dwayne Lawson, the Terriers announced via Twitter. The 6-foot-5 junior is a four-star talent with offers from Miami and Louisville, among others.

Florida is the latest state school to offer Nature Coast OT Christian Pellage, joining Miami, USF and UCF.

Tampa Bay Tech ATH Deon Cain claimed an offer from Alabama on signing day. The four-star recruit is also being pursued by the Gators, Seminoles and Clemson, among others.

Freedom DE Scott Patchan recently claimed an offer from Florida State. The defending national champions are the latest program to offer the 6-foot-5, 225-pound junior, who also has offers from Miami, Notre Dame and Ohio State, among others.
